Cannabidiol
CBD is the official abbreviation of cannabidiol and refers to a cannabinoid from the female hemp plant. The phyto-cannabinoid was discovered as early as 1940; its consumption has been classified as safe and harmless by the World Health Organization. Cannabidiol has valuable active ingredients: the extract obtained from the flowers and leaves, for example by CBD CO²-Extraction, has health-promoting properties. Cannabidiol is recommended for stress, pain or even sleep problems and can have a positive effect on the entire organism due to its anti-inflammatory effect.
Cannabidiol does not have a psychoactive or intoxicating effect, because it affects human receptors differently than THC, for example. The psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol is also a cannabinoid from the female hemp plant, but has little to do with cannabidiol.
The hemp plant has also been used for thousands of years to produce medicinal products and is a real all-rounder. The plant is also in demand as a raw material.
Due to the possible improvement of the general well-being and the improvement of various symptoms, such as sleep disorders, anxiety, pain or nausea, cannabidiol has become more and more in the focus of science in recent years. The Ellānce CBD extract in all our products is produced in Switzerland under the strict guidelines of the Bio Suisse seal. They are also 100% certified organic. For the correct CBD oil dosage, here is more information.
Cannabis Sativa Extract
In Oil: Cannabis Sativa Extract is a natural ingredient of the highest quality. It is considered to be anti-inflammatory and highly anitoxidative.
In skincare products for application to the skin: Cannabis Sativa Extract promotes the skin's natural barrier function and binds moisture. It also has cell regenerating and cell activating properties.
Camelia Sinensis Leaf Extract / Green Tea Leaf Extract
Green tea leaf extract is extracted from the leaves of the tea plant and is rich in vitamins and antioxidants. It protects the skin from harmful environmental influences and dehydration. At the same time, it stimulates blood circulation and thus actively contributes to a more even complexion.
CBD CO2-Extraction
In CBD CO2 extraction, the plant substance cannabidiol is saturated by adding liquid CO2 to dissolve it from the rest of the plant material. Then, the pressure is lowered and the temperature is raised so that the carbon dioxide can be separated from the CBD again via the gaseous state. The result: safe and highly concentrated CBD.
Among the major advantages of CBD CO2 extraction, besides the safety and purity of the final product, is the absence of solvent residues. CBD CO2 extraction is gentle and effective. The process involves additional costs in production and can only be carried out by experts. In detail, CBD CO2 extraction is differentiated between "supercritical (or supercritical) CO2 extraction" and "subcritical CO2 extraction". The latter is considered the gentlest and most sustainable CBD CO2 extraction, which we also use.
In the production of CBD extract, we produce sustainably by capturing the used CO2 and re-liquefying it. This is reused in a closed loop for extraction. In this way, we significantly reduce the CO2 footprint.
In addition to the many different dosage forms of CBD, there are also several other manufacturing processes.
CBD Isolate
A pure CBD isolate can be produced from the cannabis plant itself as well as artificially in the lab. This is the pure, highly concentrated form of CBD.
CBD Isolate does not contain THC; other plant ingredients of the cannabis plant such as terpenes, cannabinoids and flavonoids are also extracted during production. Accordingly, the so-called Entourage-Effekt also stops when using CBD Isolate. However, in order to obtain the full effectiveness of CBD, ingredients such as terpenes, cannabinoids and flavonoids are necessary - since these are not integrated in the isolate, less positive effects are to be expected here.
How the extraction of CBD isolate by CBD CO2-Extraction works, we explain here.

The above dosages are for reference only. Actual amounts may vary depending on size, weight and tolerance.
The dosage of CBD oil refers to the specific amount that the user ingests - in whatever form. Various factors such as age, weight and one's own metabolism must be taken into account. But also the reason for the intake plays a major role in the CBD oil dosage: Here, different standards apply, whether one wants to regulate period pains, reduce nervousness, create better sleep or support the regeneration time after sports, for example. Also the quality of the CBD oil is not insignificant in the determination of the ideal dosage.
In the beginning, it is recommended to start with a smaller amount as well as dose of CBD oil - and to increase both factors gradually. The type of ingestion and use also has a share. Whether as a mouth spray, external application or sublingual intake under the tongue makes a difference; an effect can sometimes occur only after up to 45 minutes.
To determine CBD dosage by body weight, there is a formulated standard, which can be found in the list below. It should be noted that the measurement is based on cannabidiol. To calculate CBD oil dosage, transfer the corresponding values to the amount of CBD in mg/ml.
Preventive effect |
Acute effect |
Intensive effect |
0,2 mg/kg |
0,7 mg/kg |
1,3 mg/kg |
The following formula determines how many mg of CBD are found in each bottle:
[X mg CBD in oil] ÷ [X ml oil] = [X mg CBD/ml].

CBD Full Spectrum Oil
As the name suggests, CBD Full Spectrum Oil contains all the natural components of the cannabis plant. Cannabidiol, CBD for short, is a natural component of CBD Full Spectrum Oil, along with other cannabinoids such as CBN (cannabinol) CBG (Cannabigerol) or terpenes and flavonoids. Despite the holistic utilization of the hemp plant, the consumption of a CBD full spectrum oil does not trigger a state of intoxication - the proportion of psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is too low for this. Ellānce's CBD Full Spectrum Oil is free of THC (>0.05%).
The preservation of the various plant substances of the cannabis plant leads to the so-called Entourage-Effect in a CBD full spectrum oil - this refers to the synergistic effect of the various ingredients from the medicinal plant. The cannabinoids from CBD Full Spectrum Oil can interact with the human body's endocannabinoid system to help the body's own cannabinoids do their job. The functions that are controlled in the endocannabinoid system turn out to be quite different: In summary, many different biological processes such as sleep patterns, stress and anxiety management, and hormone balance are controlled by the secondary nervous system. By taking a CBD full spectrum oil, the entire body and mind can benefit accordingly..
The CBD Full Spectrum Oil from Ellānce is characterized by 100% organic ingredients and sustainable production directly in Switzerland. The Ellānce CBD extract in all our products available in the Online store are produced under the strict guidelines of the Bio Suisse seal.
CBG
Just like CBD (Cannabidiol) CBG or cannabigerol is one of 120 cannabinoids from the cannabis plant. In total, there are more than 600 chemical compounds in the medicinal plant, including 200 terpenes.
It is mainly found in young cannabis plants. Simplified, CBG is the precursor of CBD. This is because CBG acid and CBGA develop into CBD only after exposure to heat or UV light. Due to the Entourage-Effect, CBG can also have a positive effect on the organism when consumed with CBD.
In contrast to CBD, CBG is still quite unknown. With the growing demand for CBD products and the increasing number of studies with positive results about it, CBG is gradually moving into the focus of science. Initial studies show that the fields of action of cannabigerol and CBD are similar. Thus, CBG can have a positive effect on sleep as well as help the body calm down in case of anxiety and stress. CBG is not psychoactive and free from any intoxicating effects.
Just like CBD, the substance from the hemp plant can interact with the body's own cannabinoid receptors. Specifically, this process occurs in the endocannabinoid system of the human body. From there, anxiety, pain, stress and other biological processes are controlled, which can be positively influenced by the support of cannabinoids such as CBG or CBD.

Curcuma Longa / Turmeric
Turmeric is a dietary supplement which comes from the ginger family. It can have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects.
Entourage-Effect
When speaking of the so-called entourage effect, first mentioned by Dr. Mechoulam and Dr. Ben-Shabat in 1999, it basically refers to the combination of cannabinoids and various other chemical compounds of the cannabis plant.
Besides cannabidiol, the hemp plant contains other cannabinoids, 200 terpenes, hydrocarbons, various flavonoids as well as phytocannabinoids. The entourage effect refers to the interaction of ingredients that act together or in opposition to each other, which can intensify when cannabidiol is consumed.
Researchers assume increased biological activity when CBD and terpenesare combined - the entourage effect thus refers to the increased potency when the plant compounds act together, which explains why "pure CBD" can achieve nowhere near the positive effects as a full-spectrum oil. In fact, this behavior lies in the origin of the effect of CBD; because the mixture of different chemical compounds of the plant reinforces the effect in the endocannabinoid system of the body.
Thus, if several valuable plant compounds of the cannabis plant are used at once, they can be more effective than in isolated form. Experts see enormous potential in the future for combining different plant substances - especially in purely herbal medicine.
Accordingly, the synergy created in the entourage effect can enhance the positive effects of consuming CBD. For those who want to completely avoid THC and benefit from the entourage effect, Ellānce CBD Full Spectrum Oil is the ideal choice. The Ellānce CBD extract in all products is produced in Switzerland under the strict guidelines of the Bio Suisse seal. Consisting of 100% synthetic CBD - free of THC (>0.05%). Shea Butter
Shea Butter consists of ingredients such as: Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, allantoin, secondary plant compounds and linoleic acid. It is rich and can moisturize effectively.
Carrier Oil (Hemp Oil, Sunflower Oil)
Sunflower oil is the all-rounder par excellence, especially in the kitchen: supplier of vital omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and ideal carrier oil for CBD. A little nuttier in taste is hemp oil, which has also established itself as a much-used cooking oil. The high-quality oil is obtained from the seeds of the so-called edible hemp. Unlike the use of medicinal hemp, edible hemp is free of psychoactive compounds.
Cannabidiol, or CBD, comes in a variety of dosage forms: One popular method of incorporating CBD into daily routines is via CBD oilconsumption. Here, a sunflower or hemp oil often serves as a carrier oil. The high content of omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid, EPA, DHA) in the oils has an anti-inflammatory effect and serves as protection against heart disease, lowers cholesterol and stimulates the metabolism.
Ellānce uses only pure and local Bio Suisse certified cold-pressed sunflower oil. In this way, we create a balanced, balanced taste and an ideal texture and consistency. It also reduces the hemp flavor - and sunflower oil has more saturated fatty acids.
When combined with a high quality CBD, the carrier oils can accelerate the body's regeneration during an active lifestyle. Its multi-faceted beneficial properties range from improving oxygen uptake and regulating hormone balance to preventing cancer and arthritis. Additionally, it can promote the breakdown of excess fat.
Ellānce is certified organic and the CBD extract in all of our products available in the Online Store are produced under the strict guidelines of the Bio Suisse seal. 100% organic.
Terpenes
Terpenes are responsible for the distinctive smell of the hemp plant: more precisely, the mono- and sesquiterpenes. The plant substances are secreted by the glandular hairs of the cannabis plant and are found as essential oils. Those who perceive the characteristic scent do not smell the CBD, but the terpenes, which are also largely responsible for the taste of the medicinal plant.
Over 100 different terpenes have their origin in the cannabis plant. A distinction is made between myrcene, limonene, alpha-pinene, linalool and Βeta-caryophyllene. With a share of up to 60% and an herbaceous aroma, myrcene is the most abundant terpene in the cannabis plant. But not only here: Myrcene is also found in lemongrass or thyme, for example.
The different chemical compounds in the cannabis plant can form synergies with the help of the entourage effect. What is behind the entourage effect is explained hereThey have a significant influence on the way CBD works, enhancing the cannabinoid's sleep-inducing, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and also sedative properties.
The most valuable and best ingredients are gently extracted at Ellānce, through a CBD CO2-Extraction. The result is a 100% organic natural product, sustainably produced in Switzerland. All CBD and hemp Ellānce products are produced under strict Bio Suisse guidelines.
